Achieving success for each student – We are pleased to announce the launch of our newly formulated Student Success Centre at the Calgary Islamic School. The centre was established in 2013 by our school counselors, Dr. Mahdi Qasqas and Ms. Sumiya Musse, who continue to implement a wide array of initiatives contributing to the success of our students.
The mission of the Student Success Centre is promote the vision of the Calgary Islamic School and facilitate it’s mission through effective, timely, and Islamically responsive services that enhance every student’s Career, Personal, Academic, Social, and Spiritual goals; creating the student mission code of C-PASS.
The Student Success Centre also aims to provide students with extra-curricular activities that enhance student involvement and character development. Clubs are created to develop a strong student body across the entire school.
Clubs that have currently been launched are the following:
- Debate Club
- Sisters Covered-Girls Club
- Chess Club
For our High School students, the Student Success Centre aims to prepare them for life after high school through connecting students with scholarships, internship opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and post-secondary options. High school students are taken to explore three main post-secondary institutions in Calgary; where they have the opportunity to connect with recruitment and ask question specific to their field of interest.
